Xbox in Court : Here’s how to keep up

Share the love...

Earlier today, Microsoft, Xbox and the FTC met in sunny California to start their court proceedings over the FTC trying to get an injunction to stop Microsoft from closing on the Activision-Blizzard acquisition before the evidential hearing in over a months’ time.

You’ll notice it’s a topic we haven’t provided a lot of coverage for, but as is often the case, we’d rather spend time playing and reviewing games, than click-bait news posts you’ll see a thousand times elsewhere.
However, it seems many are struggling to get hold of a link to listen in on proceedings, so you can hear exactly what’s happening, rather than relying on sometimes one-sided summaries later in the day.

There are a few days left yet with the trial continuing on Friday the 23rd, then after a long weekend, it’ll pick up once again next Tuesday to be concluded by Thursday the 29th.
Below you’ll find all the times and dates so you know when to tune in.

DayDateTime
Friday23rd June16:30 – 23:00 (British Summer Time) / 8:30-15:00 (PST)
Tuesday27th June16:30 – 23:00 (British Summer Time) / 8:30-15:00 (PST)
Wednesday28th June16:30 – 23:00 (British Summer Time) / 8:30-15:00 (PST)
Thursday29th June21:30 (British Summer Time) / 1:30 (PST) – if required

While there’s no live video stream of the court, we did come across the official audio feed via zoom here – the official court website’s information about the trial.

Grab the popcorn, fire up your favourite game, and enjoy proceedings in one ear, and hear the latest live, because we expect a few revelations and some awkward questions to fly around the courtroom over the remaining four days.

((There is a limit of 1000 participants in the Zoom meeting, so ilat busy times you may need to try again later))
