World Championship Boxing Manager 2 Review.

Share the love...

Hello again fellow Oldies how time flies when the suns out, we have another game to review today sadly the weekends nearly over.

World Championship Boxing Manager is a sports simulator with a twist as you can see in the title it’s a management boxing simulator which is something i’ve never really reviewed before.

The game itself has two main parts a career mode and a story mode, the story itself helps you understand the basics running boxers though the gym training and planing fights and tournaments , and also unlocking various characters which includes boxers that i’ve never heard of before. Apparently they are famous, shows how much I know about boxing.

The career mode is where the excitement happens after you have played and understood the games mechanics though the story mode, you can then run and develope your own gym looking after your collection of boxers and prize fighters.

Every fighter you unlock has there own skill set and special moves.

Training your fighters can be the key to wining matches as you’ll need to focus on the attribute’s and strengths to develop in order to make history and taking over the world like don king!

The best part of the game is that you really have no real direction you’ll need to follow and kind a the game is what you make of it.

If you want to play around you can do this at your own pace and leisure, the one thing I did find strange was not to atually play the game in the boxing match but this is a manager simulator after all.

Throughout the game there are plenty of things to do from choosing championship tournaments matches and other professional fights.

As I said just a minute ago while you are managing the actual fighter you only have limited options like speeding up the round and selecting various options between the bell while your in a match.

If you have a fighter that is a quick paced its sometimes worth taking chances and not playing the long game to make it to the final round, it might look like a easy game to play however under the retro look there is quiet alot of dept to this little indi title.

World Championship Boxing manager 2 is a well presented pixilated game that kind of pushes the boundrys for simulation games, I really like how this game is presented and the gameplay leaves you wanting more.

Sometimes the simpler games are better alrounded games and I think this is what Zigguart Interactive have truly delivered.

So its that time of the review again ! would I recommend this game to others ? well if I’m honest this game will appeal more towards the simulator crowd, however this wouldn’t of been my first choice of game but if i’m honest its a truley a little gem that needs to be tried at least once.

The cost of the game will not really set you back much as isn’t a-lot of coin but for £12.49 its not a bad cost for a fun little simulation game.
