Ultra Pixel Survive Review

Retro styled games seem to be all the rage at the moment Ultra Pixel Survive is no different from the rest and is a action RPG survival game where you play and command multiple heroes with unique skill sets and abilities. Your main goal is to survive and build, harness your skills, and plan your defences to keep your player alive for as long as possible.

Each day and night, you are swarmed by hordes that aim to attack your home. You will need to stand up to them and fight them to stay alive.

At the start, the more you play and die, the more you’ll learn about how the game plays. Learning to survive can be a bit repetitive but challenging at the same time. You will need to learn to evolve your weapons, which will help you in this massive task. You’ll need to start harvesting materials to help you evolve. So get out your pick axe or axe and chop down a tree.

Various underground dungeons are around that you’ll need to explore to give you more of a chance to enhance your chance of survival, but be aware that bosses are around to bring you to your knees.

Ultra Pixel Survive is exactly what it says on the the tin, Survive as long as possible the only way to last is to work the land and harvest all by collecting any materials which will help you build and last the next day.

While the days are light you’ll still have various mobs attacking you but they are visible and easy to kill with a swift chop with your sword or chuck of your handy boomerang, but when night falls you’ll need to focus on staying alive. I found that building a fire outside helped me see the hordes before I had my life taken away from me.

The key part of what the player needs to take into consideration is that food and harvesting food is a must. If you have a bad day or night, you will need to rebuild up that depleted health, get out, and about hunt some animals or even get your gardening gloves on as you’ll need to find that energy.

Every day you’ll progress more in the game and this will give you experience and you will gain more levels and will power up your character, these will allow you to develop your skills based more on your choice.

There are three parts of the game ”the forest, beach and the dreaded cave” the way to survive the days and nights are to build walls to prevent the mobs from storming you and place your defending, you’re also able to place spikes and turrets. the game is simple and has only one objective, and that’s to survive.

So the question is would I recommend this game to the fellow gamer, as I’m not a massive fan of retro survival games the value and time you’ll get out of the game this is worth every penny and for the achievement hoarders out there this is a must buy to get your Gamerscore up !!
