PAYDAY 3 – Launch and plans for the year ahead

Share the love...

Payday 3 is just around the corner, we’ve got the open-beta technical test this weekend and release in two weeks, so Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains are feeling the heat, but there’s a few new additions to ease those first few heists.

Announced today, Payday 3 will include two new characters at launch, the female gang members Pearl and Joy. They will join the original gang of clown-masked criminals (Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains) for a total of six heisters available when PAYDAY 3 launches on September 21st.

Pearl is an expert con artist and infiltrator who is as comfortable running street cons as she is rubbing elbows with the rich and famous if it brings home the prize. She leaves nothing to chance, and it’s a rare occasion when things don’t go her way. But if the situation calls for it, she’s no stranger to firearms. And make no mistake; she’s a vicious fighter.

Joy is a genius hacker and security expert. A merciless heister. Joy is a dangerous combination of both. She has a complete lack of respect for authority and a twisted sense of humor. But in a heist, she’s all aces.

Once our favourite masked criminals have got their feet wet, they’ll be looking for more heists and Starbreeze and Deep Silver have also outlined plans for year 1 known in the criminal underworld as The bad Apple.

High Level Post Launch Plan

PAYDAY 3 displays for the first time the content and updates players can look forward to for Year 1 after launch. The High Level Post Launch Plan includes the following updates:

DLC 1 – Syntax Error set for Winter 2023

DLC 2 – Boys in Blue is set to release in Spring 2024

DLC 3 – The Land of the Free will release in Summer 2024

DLC 4 – Fear and Greed set for Fall 2024

We’re not sure what each DLC will include, but they will be included in the season passes.
There’s the Silver Season Pass which will give 6 months of content (2 DLC Packs) or the Gold Season Pass which will provide a full year of content.
We don’t have pricing details on those yet, but if previous Payday titles are anything to go by, we can expect plenty of content for years to come.
We hope to bring you plenty of news, reviews and details about Payday 3 and future DLC, so be sure to keep an eye on the oldies.
