Insurgency Sandstorm: Operation Livewire Update – Out Now

Insurgency: Sandstorm was released just over a year ago and was one of the sleeper hits of 2021, with high-octane shootouts, some fantastic co-operative play and some of the most tactical gunplay we’ve seen since the Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon decided to leave strategy and tactics in the duffel bag.
If you somehow managed to miss out on the game up until now, there’s still nothing that comes close, and the current Xbox sale means it’s available for only £17.49 until the 21st of November.

Already one of my favourite FPS titles, Insurgency: Sandstorm, heads into it’s 2nd year with “Livewire” a new free update, with a new game mode, new weapons and character cosmetics.
There are also some new premium cosmetics arriving as paid content.

The new game mode “Defusal” is a PvP mode, similar to core Counterstrike as the Insurgents aim to plant and explode a bomb on a weapons cache before the Security can defuse it.
