Police Simulator ready to patrol on Xbox

Share the love...

With a love for Simulation titles, throw in some promised co-op play and I’ll happily invest dozens of hours into my new career, just as I have with Bus Simulator and Construction Simulator, but the forthcoming Police Simulator: Patrol Officers could be the pinnacle of co-op sim games.

Releasing on the 10th of November for only £34.99, It’s already ticking all the right boxes.
I first caught glimpse of Patrol Officers via some early-access PC footage, and with over 7500 very positive ratings on steam, this could be a must-buy for Simulation fans.

When you play a simulation game, it’s usually relatively linear, you have a specific job, and once that’s done, you open up a few more and progressively unlock the complexities of your chosen career, but for each task, your freedom is fairly limited outside of the task at hand.
But Patrol Officers looks to change that, with a living breathing city, you’ll get crimes happening all around, so even while you’re on route to your current objective, you might see someone jaywalking, or polluting the beautiful Brighton city with a smokey exhaust,
While on a much smaller budget, it reminds me of titles like GTA, where you can just leave your objectives aside and torment those civilians.

Now call me savage, but the opportunity to do this, be as strict as I want, and stick to the letter of the law if I desire, is going to keep me entertained for hours.
Sure I might let that guy get off without charge because I like his glasses, and that woman’s hair looks nice, move along, nothing to see here.
But following the career of a policeman, sounds interesting enough, but having that free-roam aspect as well as promised online co-op play, and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers could be a real sleeper hit, especially with the usual AAA calendar looking a little sparse.

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers is available on Xbox.com now and will release on the 10th of November at £34.99 for the SUV officer edition, which includes the free Urban Terrain Vehicle DLC.

Below the trailer, you’ll find the full breakdown from the Patrol-officers website

GAME DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Brighton! Join the ranks of this fictitious American city’s police force and experience the everyday life of a police officer. Begin with parking violations and work your way up to shouldering greater responsibilities. Be part of Brighton’s community, get to know your neighborhood, and fulfill the daily duties of a police officer as you fight crime during your shift. Always be tough, but fair: respect the law and gain more experience to unlock more neighborhoods, districts, and duties!

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers includes a dynamic traffic system that organically creates traffic flows and car accidents, as well as emergency situations that randomly pop up during your shifts. Be ready to respond at a moment’s notice! Enter the open world of Brighton, where you can choose which neighborhoods you patrol and keep safe. Patrol three unique districts, each home to several neighborhoods. Each one has a distinct flair: from the high rises of downtown to the historical buildings of Brickston. The Intuition System allows you to pick up on important clues when interrogating witnesses and can help you resolve situations immediately – so make sure you’re always paying attention to everything being said and done. Your duties are your responsibility!

Progressing and unlocking new districts also adds new duties. Begin by issuing tickets, but be ready to handle accidents that can happen right in front of your eyes! Many different duties are waiting to be encountered in this living and breathing city. Stop drug deals from taking place in the local park, chase graffiti sprayers illegally tagging walls, stop speeding cars with your police siren, and even set up road barriers and cones around traffic accidents. Be prepared for anything – from minor incidents like a car blocking a bus stop to having to apprehend suspects and taking them to the holding cells. Your duties are your responsibility! Police Simulator: Patrol Officers offers a Simulation Mode for veteran players looking for the most authentic experience, as well as a Casual Mode for players who want a more relaxing patrol around the streets of Brighton.
