Is Solarpunk heading to Xbox?

Over New Year, I came across a Tweet asking Xbox gamers if they’d like to see a game called Solarpunk released on Xbox Game pass.
It wasn’t clear whether it’s a hint of things to come, or just a nod to Xbox shouting “Hey look at us”, but it certainly looks like an exciting project.

As described,

Solarpunk is a survival game, set on a world of floating islands, and it’s looking pretty spicy.
Heading to Steam wishlist soon, we might also be seeing Solarpunk on Xbox, so we’ve done a little diving to bring you as much information as possible.

Firstly, here’s the full trailer and the lowdown from the developers press page.

The developers have also confirmed that the co-op play will allow up to 4 friends to play together, which w

There was also a polite exchange between the official Twitter account for Solarpunk and Microsoft’s official Game Dev account, which confirms if Microsoft aren’t already working with the developers (Cyberwave), they’re definitely aware of the game.

There’s no doubt Solarpunk has some great potential, it’s already at an impressive stage and with a development team of only 2 people, I’m sure the squad at Microsoft could certainly help them bring the game to the masses, we only have to look at Grounded to see how popular a fun, 4-player co-operative survival game can be.
We’ve reached out to the developers to see if they can provide any more news about Solarpunk hopefully coming to Gamepass, or maybe the game preview program, so keep an eye on Xbox Oldies for further news.
