Another game another review, Batora: Lost Haven is a choice-driven isometric action adventure with RPG elements and a unique duality system affecting combat, story, dialogues, puzzles, and endings, that will make you question the meaning of sacrifice.

Throughout Batora: Lost Haven, you will navigate your way through a range of unique alien planets and discover a galaxy in which morals are blurred, and the line between right and wrong is mercilessly thin. Wield unique abilities and perfect different combat styles to defeat deadly foes, solve intricate puzzles, and take on quests from curious alien inhabitants. Every choice you make will shape your journey and forge the way you carry out your final mission… Restoring your Lost Haven.

Batora : Lost Haven takes place in a magical world after a devastating disaster, Avril a 16 year old girl that has just lost her older sister rose in all the carnage, finds herself with a close friend Mila who both discover two amulets that are connected to the Sun and the Moon.

Once they have made themselves acquainted with instances, the Sun and the Moon, they find themselves transported to another planet called Gryvia, which is looking out for earths interests and diplomacy.

Batora: Lost Haven crosses Avril to four unique planets each that hold’s an element that needs to be located to help our lucky girl superpowers and to become our little superheroes.

With the powers you receive, you have the option to switch between two different powers/abilities to destroy your enemies. You have physical attacks that combine your stances between distance and psychic. When the mobs are orange, you can attack with your sword, or when purple, you can attack them with psychic abilities.

Collecting runes during your story you can use these to customise Avril’s build which you can increase your stats of your sun and moon form, plus you can also buy these runes from shops or people you stumble on during the game. However, unlocking parts of Avril’s build can only be done by playing the story and progressing through the game.

The game itself has a narrative that lets you branch out and lets you as the player decide and make choices that will lead you to one of four endings. Once you’ve started the game, you can select various difficulties depending on how advanced of a gamer you are.

What can we say about the graphics? Visually, LostHavenn is beautiful to look at. There are some outstanding designs of alien races and the mobs you slay. The world’s designs are also stunning it reminds me of how diablo looks and plays and the backdrops they showcase.

Puzzles also make up part of the gameplay using your abilities to swap between your abilities there is so much depth to this game and its not all punch and chop, bit all and all it’s a well-balanced game and a great story.

The sound is well where it needs to be. I love the way the moves you make and the sounds you make chopping up the mobs make and how you shatter the runes when harvesting them.

The games feel‘s fluid and very responsive on the console pad and plays and feel’s very much like Diablo. The controls and the powers you weald are limited in comparison but however plays just as good in my eyes.

Would I recommend this game to another gamer? Yeah, I love the whole concept and how the game makes me feel when playing batora.

Batora : Lost Haven is currently priced at £19.99 but for the longevity of the game, I think it’s a steal for the price.
